Otis ANG – Questions on B168/DGS

12. Understanding is that the facility currently has (12) doors outfitted with access control (card/pin readers), correct?

a. I’m not sure where this number came from, but it was not in the PWS. Between buildings 168 & 169 there are (14) doors with card readers (card/PIN and card only)

13. Does the Government want card-out for egress installed on all (12) of the doors, or is the quantity other?

a. Paragraph 5.6 of the PWS specifically stated that we want badge out egress for the SCIF exit. We are open to suggestions for egress from other interior rooms.

14. Does the Government want emergency egress buttons installed on all (12) of the doors, or is the quantity other?

a. Paragraph 5.6 also addressed this topic. We would need this emergency egress button on the SCIF egress in place of the current crash-bar. Professional advice is welcomed here as well.

15. For the new door between this building and the adjacent building, a few questions:

a. Is this a single-door or a double-door?

i. Single door

b. Card/pin-in for entry and card-out for egress, or other?

i. Card/PIN for entry and open to suggestions for egress

c. Can the Government please provide a rough estimate on the distance from this door back to the room with the V5 panels?

i. Approximately 40-50 ft.

16. ICD-705 compliance was mentioned in the SOW. If the contractor adheres to this (and if the space is indeed going to have to go through reaccreditation), the contractor would have to uninstall all current BMS/door contact devices in the facility and replace with current-day level two BMS devices to meet the ICD. Does the Government want all BMS devices removed and replaced under this project?

a. Our facility is already accredited under ICD-705. I will verify with NGB SSO, but I don’t believe we have to go through re-accreditation for this. So no, if that holds true, we would not want all BMS devices removed and replaced.
