Q1- Why is an SC-7 SkyVan the only aircraft acceptable for this solicitation? We manufacture and operate the Basler BT-67 which is capable of static line and HALO/HAHO operations with a 25,000’ service ceiling. We have pilots who have thousands of hours and years of airdrop (specifically special operations airdrop) experience. We meet all of the requirements above and beyond those listed in the solicitation. What is the sole source justification for the SC-7? In addition to a slick jump platform, we have STCs to modify our aircraft with EO/IR sensors, litters, and ICU tables. We would welcome an invitation to provide a capability brief and demonstration of the aircraft to the squadron in the event we can provide operational capability vs just simply training.
A1- For this requirement, we need a ramp exit capable aircraft/not a side door per Air Combat Command Standard Evaluation Static line square operating procedures.
