Baffles shall be above the bullet trap area to provide protection to lighting and all other utilities; baffles shall be shaped and installed so as to deflect all the rounds toward the bullet trap rubber foam media storage, the maximum impact angle shall be ≤ than 30°.

Rubber foam media shall comply with the fire category 1 or equivalent Euroclass applicable as per the Italian regulation DT-P1 2005.

The rubber foam media shall totally absorb the energy of the bullets; it is based on the principle that if the bullets after the impact with the bullet trap are not deformed, lead powders cannot form and, therefore, is also insured environmental security.

4.2 FLOOR: Remove linoleum flooring and replace with new. Seal all joints and seams to prevent unburnt powder to collect under flooring. Remove ballistic rubber tiles and clean them. Replace damaged ballistic tiles. Extend ballistic tiles to the front of the bullet trap metal fitting to the concrete floor which was moved two meters back. The installation of the linoleum flooring will be after the Italian Army Commission certifies the range..

4.3 CEILING: Remove all damaged material and replace with new to include covering metal material with rubber ballistic tiles. Paint ceiling light blue.

4.5 WALLS: Remove all damaged wood surfaces and replace with new. At the angled walls which form a funnel to the bullet trap, remove existing wood and place ballistic steel over the existing steel. New steel quality shall be ballistic steel AR500 quality minimum thickness 10mm with Brinell hardness greater or equal to 500 Brinell. Purpose is to withstand the new 5.56mm EPR round M588A1 DODIC AB057. The angle wall will butt against new bullet trap and will continue with steel walls to the end of bullet trap. Paint down range walls.
