3.2.

Special obligations within the scope of this project

1. to read and understand these specifications related to the work to be executed, especially the article concerning the safety and health measures to be implemented on the work site in application of the law of 4 August 1996 about the welfare of workers during the execution of their work, and of R.D. of 25 January 2001 about temporary or mobile work sites;

If some update occurs on his own initiative, he informs the awarding party and the execution-coordinator. He takes into account any possible remark expressed by the GPOC.

In particular, he also provides the following information to the GPOC with a copy to the execution-coordinator:

· name of the subcontractor(s), the nature and cost of the work they are responsible for, the expected starting date and duration;

c) Door stiles The vertical and horizontal door stiles shall consist of folded or continuous welded metal profiles, minimum 8 mm thick. The door stiles shall be anchored into the masonry, 40 cm center to center.

The tightness between the stiles and the walls shall be insured by adding caulking compound type "SECOMASTIC" or similar (see also paragraph TP-2-04). The tightness between the stiles and the door leaves shall be insured by a neoprene joint.

d) Inside The inside of the door will be filled with a thermic and acoustic insulation.

e) Doorstops In the electrical substations, a device will be installed to be able to keep the door in open position.

f) Painting Profiles will be protected by galvanization on all sides, class Zn 40, and a paint coat with zinc chromate basis before installation. A paint finish complying with the provisions of index 07.1.8.22.1c or 10.1.1c of Standard Specifications 104 will be applied.

The color of the wooden elements and hardware will be RAL 7040 outside and inside.

g) Aluminium alloy ventilation grills The grills will be suitable for the element in which they will be integrated. Louvre with chevron section blades Renson type 412 or equivalent.

Elements

· Mosquito screens: stainless steel AISI 304. Replaceable at opening points

· Outside slats: aluminum alloy. The slats at the outside must throw off water from bad weather.

Materials: Extruded aluminium according to N573-3, EN AW-6063 alloy

Finish: Polyester powder lacquer RAL7040 (60-70 microns)

h) Hardware for Anti-panic doors

The hardware for the doors will be composed of:

- 4 three-knuckle hinges with reinforcing pin, with minimum load capacity of 150kg per hinge, for a length of 160mm minimum. The hinge is fitted with an axis made of special steel with permanent greasing system. A nylon casing tinted in the mass hides the blades and fastening points.

- 1 double-locking device. However, the door must be operated from the inside by a “panic” handle, even if the door is locked. The lock must be designed for the standard keys of the existing electrical substations.

Inside, over the length of the door leaf, a panic bar of horizontal push type allows the unlocking and opening of the door by single push.

Outside, the door leaf is fitted with tinted in the mass nylon roses with stainless steel insert. A heavy duty stainless steel handle will be installed (mobile handle not authorized).

i) Installation:

The doors will be fixed to the building with a perfect horizontal and vertical alignment and at right angles. The door will be installed with appropriate stainless steel anchoring elements. The static loads of the work cannot be transmitted to the gable elements.

The anchoring elements are fitted with oblong screw holes allowing the best setting of the structural elements and the free expansion of the work. Anchoring elements are fixed by means of lag screws and pegs or pre-set rails in the masonry.

Any contact between the masonry and the metallic profiles must be avoided. To this purpose, the contractor will put an EPDM watertight membrane.

The perimeter connections of the door with the walls are adapted to the configuration of the building. They take into account the nature, thickness and position of the adjacent materials. The junction between the metallic elements and the walls is done with permanent elastic joints laid on a flexible joint bottom.

Measures will be taken to comply with the protection requirements against indirect contacts according to article 98 of the RGIE.

The door will be installed by a certified firm.

The finish will be perfect and all opening parts will work properly.

This item also includes all necessary work for the replacement of the door. The contractor will submit to the GPOC approval all constitutional elements of the door as well as detailed drawings after having taken the exact dimensions of the door (the dimensions on the drawings are given as an indication).

TP-2-03:

BLAST RESISTANT STEEL DOOR

The requirements of paragraph TP-2-02 remain.

a) Force Protection (extra requirements) All windows on the plans and schedules considered as blast resistant shall be designed and manufactured by a firm with experience in the design and the fabrication of blast resistant windows. Reference: SÄLZER or equal.

Blast window specifications require that only manufacturers of security related products with blast resistant design and manufacturing experience are acceptable.

Manufacturers shall provide test results of open air-blast testing indicating independent laboratory certification of appropriate glass fragment hazard mitigation for all blast resistant windows required for this project. Blast tube test s are permitted if they are able to simulate the actual properties of the concerned windows (size, anchorage, material of properties of the concerned windows (size, anchorage, material of substructure).

All blast resistant windows and glazing assemblies provide a minimum GSA level 3a or Very Low Hazard, per ASTM F1642-96, glass fragment harzard classification. These two classifications are defined as follows: Glass may fracture, frames may deflect but cause no glass or frame fragmentation hazard to penetrate the interior of the facility by more than one meter (1m)

Blast parameter values:

Standoff Distance
Pressure
Impulse kN/m²-msec
Duration

82,0 ft 98,4 ft 25 m 35 m 12,61 psi 9,06 psi 87,1 kN/m² 62,6 kN/m² 77,8 psi-msec 63,7 psi-msec 536,84 439,74 18,1 msec 19,3 msec

Duration: Real Pressure-Time History

Operable blast resistant windows shall be specified to provide the above required level of fragment hazard protection in closed and all open positions (tilled and swing position < 10°)

The entire window or glazing assembly including anchoring devices shall achieve the required fragment protection levels. Anchoring and fastening of the windows to the existing concrete wall shall transfer all the loads and moments as well as the shear forces into the existing wall structure.

The Contractor is responsible for the design and suitability of the window anchoring system.

Window and door submittals shall include testing reports in English and French languages, certification, all installation details, installation training, and frame anchoring method for installation into the reinforced concrete wall construction.

Since different building elevations may have different blast resistance values, but have to be similar in appearance, the contractor has to cross-coordinate those different types of windows. This coordination will be required by the window submittals.

Unusually large or complex glazing assemblies may omit air-blast testing and may be designed using an equivalent static load analysis method only when approved by ATFP technical review staff.

b) The door will be of following type:

The door will have a design similar to the existing one (2 parts glazed door at building 20182 and glazed door with fixed glazed transom at building 20191).

Frame made of galvanized steel with an overall thickness of 111mm.

Door leaf made of galvanized steel, size ± 72mm and continuous joint on three sides.

Following items will be included:

· reinforced hinges compatible with the door in sufficient numbers

· one safety lock of elastic multi-point type and anti-panic function compatible with the existing badge reader (cabling and connection included)

· one anti-panic handle of horizontal push bar type for the unlocking and opening of the door leaf with a single push on this bar

· one automatic door closing device adapted to the weight of the door

· two door stops
