b. Location A: Cut an opening for a new 3’- 0”x7’- 0” on the south wall of building 205 for a new doorway.

c. Sod Removal Decorative Rock: Remove 6” of vegetation from all areas getting decorative rock, approximately 1000 SF. Save top soil for reuse along the sides of the new gravel drive.

d. Sod Removal Driveway: Remove 6” of vegetation along the footprint of the new driveway, approximately 12’ x 90’ in an offset layout. Save top soil for reuse.

e. Fencing: Demo 51’ of 6’ fencing on south west side of building 205 as shown on the drawing to include all concrete post foundations. Fill in all holes with compacted dirt created by the demo. Provide 6’ temporary fencing/panels as needed to secure the building 205 compound until permanent fencing is installed.

2. Fencing and Gates: (FE6 –TR-72) Provide 9 gage commercial chain link fencing system with 6’ fabric with 2” square mesh, top rail and barbed wire on a single outrigger. Corner, end and gate posts shall be 2.375” O.D. minimum and line posts shall be 1.90” O.D. Provide a 4’ wide walk through gate and a 12’ wide double swing drive gate. All gates must be lockable and have side gate keepers. Drive gate shall have a drop cane for securing the center of the gate. Secure all posts in concrete a minimum of 3’ deep. Mechanically secure outriggers to posts. Fence fabric shall extend down in 2” of decorative rock so there are no voids under the fence.

3. Concrete Work: New sidewalk shall be 4” of compacted rock base and 4” of concrete with 6”x6” wire mesh and two rows of #4 rebar, set center of concrete and running the extent of the sidewalk. Rebar shall be drilled and set into existing sidewalk a minimum of 3”. Concrete shall be 3000 PSI, floated with a broom finish. Round all edges and match finish of existing sidewalks. Drive apron: Provide 4” of compacted rock base and 6” of concrete with 2’x2’ rebar grid using #4 rebar. Rebar shall be drilled and set into existing armory foundation. Concrete shall be 3000 PSI, floated with a broom finish and rounded edges. Provide expansion joint material where concrete meets existing concrete and joints covered with a gray self-leveling elastomeric joint sealant.

4. Additional Joint Sealant: Install gray self-leveling elastomeric joint sealant to the joint between the existing armory foundation and sidewalk.

The cable to be used on this project is Cat6, Communications Plenum Cable rated (CMP-rated) where required. This cable must meet or exceeds the ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-A1 requirements. The CAT6 will start from the communications room punch down block to the mechanical room of building 205 going overhead, where a 1 1/2 “ PVC conduit will penetrate the exterior wall heading directly south and is braced overhead and connected to the top portion of the armory and extend to the communications junction box on the east end of the armory (see picture below). Communications duct and wall penetrations shall be water tight.

Inside the armory the communications junction box entry (shown in photo above) shall be extended with rigid galvanized pipe to a surface mounted galvanized quad box set at 48” AFFF. Faceplates will be four-port equipped with 4 modular category 6 jacks (white) all T568A. Label all jacks and punch down blocks using the same numbering sequence already used in building 205. Testing: All cable installed will be tested per BICSI Telecommunications Distribution Methods Manual Chapter 11 (Field Testing). Any deviation must be approved by the Base CSO. An electronic media of choice as selected by the owner (e.g., compact disc [CD] or flash card) containing the test results will be provided to the Communications Flight Base Plans Office.
