SUBJECT: Cable barriers Drawing/Spec Ref:
Information Requested: 1. Drawing C-201 shows to construct a cable barrier on the west side of the road, but does not mention anything about the east side of the road. Is it the intent of this project to construct a cable barrier on the east side of the road as well?
2. For Access Control Point Final Denial barriers, the cable barrier is typically M50/K12 crash rated leading up to the active vehicle barriers (in your case Delta barriers). Drawing C-305 does not depict an M50/K12 cable barrier. Does this cable barrier need to be crash certified at the M50/K12 rating?
Attachment(s):
POC: Phone: Organization:
Response: 1. The east side of the road has an existing cable barrier system, and is not part of this project.
2. Build the cable barrier according the plans and drawings.
