1.1 Scope of Work Items: PR. NO. 215 15-04145
Provide & Install SIX 6 ft. Diameter oscillating column mounted fans equal to or better than BIGASS Fans Pivot Fan 6ft Model: F-PV1-06;
1.1.1 The fan shall be ETL certified.
1.1.2 The fan shall be built pursuant to construction guideline set forth by UL standard 507 and CSA standard 22.2.
1.1.3 The fan shall oscillate at a rate of up to 1.5 oscillations per minute, with a sweep angle up to 180o.
1.1.4 The fan shall have a minimum of 3 vertical angle positioning.
1.1.5 The fan and components shall be designed specifically for high volume low speed operation.
1.1.6 The fan motor shall be an AC induction type inverter rated minimum of 1725RPM at 480V, 3PH.
1.1.7 The motor shall be totally enclosed with an IPO56 NEMA classification and operate in ambient temperatures between -170F to 1200F.
1.1.8 Assemble fans according to installation guide.
1.1.9 Fans shall be installed according to the manufacturer’s installation guide.
1.1.10 Fans shall be mounted 15FT above floor on columns designated in “6’ DIA COLUMN MOUNTED FANS” drawing. See “DETAIL “A”” in drawing, for column detail. Fans will have a vertical clearance of 3feet from sprinkler deflector.
1.1.11 Fans shall be secured on building columns and secure to building column by cables. See MFG installation guide.
1.1.12 Fans shall also be secured by three stabilizing guy wires to keep fans structure from moving. See MFG Installation Guide.
1.1.13 Each fan shall be controlled by a fan controller. The controller shall be able to turn fan off/on, control fan speed, control oscillation rate, sweep angle, and reverse fan direction. Fan controller shall have a built-in fire relay. Contractor shall run conduit and wire from the Fire Panel, shown on the drawings, to each fan controller and connect wires from the Fire Panel to the fan fire relay, 24vdc.
1.1.14 Three fans shall be wired where controllers are in series/parallel, connected to one feeder circuit and thermal protected. Each fan controller shall have a 3phase, 480v, NEMA 1 fused safety switch installed. Provide a Square D bolt in 480v 3 pole 10amp circuit breaker per a series of three fans.
1.1.15 Each controller shall be mounted 5ft off the floor to center of controller and mounted 12in to the left or right of directly behind fan. See “DETAIL “B”” in drawing for clarification. Wire length from fan to controller is approximately 30ft. See drawing for location of fan controls
1.1.16 From the electrical panel “S3” to the first controller in EAST series is approximately 15 ft. See drawing for electrical panel location.
1.1.17 From the electrical panel “S6” to the first controller in WEST series is approximately 90ft. See drawing for electrical panel location.
1.1.18 The distance between fans is approximately 40ft.
1.1.19 Electrical wiring shall be THHN stranded copper wire. Contractor is responsible of wire size based on load and length of run.
1.1.20 Conduit shall be EMT and any flexible conduit shall be Liquid Tight metal core. Contractor is responsible for sizing conduit per wire size and number of conductors.
