Questions Set 6
1. We were wanting to confirm that the fence lines and gate locations for the new fence and gates will be staked by the Army/Sierra Depot at no cost to the contactor or are we to responsible for the marking of the fence and gate locations?
ANSWER: All corners will be marked by Government. Gate locations are per the drawings and shall be marked by the contractor.
2. In reading the question/ answers on list 5 I see that the ground rod quantities has changed to one at each corner. Originally it called out to have a ground rod at opposite corners, which I interpreted as meaning two
(2). Am I wrong?
ANSWER: Each corner a ground rod shall be placed.
3. On set #5 of questions and answers, the answer for question #2 dealing with the top rail says that the top rail is 1 7/8" OD, on the drawings in the Steel Post Schedule it states that the top rail is a 1.66 OD (1 5/8"), which is the standard for top rail. Can this please be clarified, is the top rail to be used on this project a 1 5/8" OD or is 1 7/8" OD. Your help in this matter would be very much appreciated.
