Questions and Answers Baler Set 3
1. The Pictures of The Baler MDP Show Several Spares. What are there Ratings and are they Still Viable. An answer to one of the RFI's Stated that the Government would Properly Seal the Open penetrations and Inspect the Stand Up Panel. I am leery of putting a New 200 amp Load on a Breaker that could possibly be Compromised. If the Government states to use Existing Breaker They will be Liable for its possible failure and any damage that could happen to the New Baler. If the Spare Breaker has been load tested there should be no issues. But for the Cost of a New Breaker the Government could remove the Existing Spare Breakers to Keep in stock and thus recoup the cost of the New Installation.
ANSWER: Government personnel has cleaned up the panel and seal all openings. The purpose of the photos is to demonstrate the panel is not close to being loaded as stated. There are no spare breakers of the correct size, nor does the government want the new baler connected to one of them. As seen in the photo, there is an empty breaker space, or if needed an existing spare may be replaced with a new one of correct size.
