About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for the W912EK25RA035 – LD14 Roofs project. The Q&A addresses contractor inquiries about roofing specifications, specifically focusing on roofing membrane requirements. Key details include allowing alternative manufacturers for the roofing membrane, with the requirement that any material must meet or exceed the 60 mil Duro-last PVC specifications. Contractors were specifically interested in using Carlisle TPO or PVC membranes, and the government confirmed flexibility in manufacturer selection.

Regarding project documentation, the government provided limited reference materials, including plans from a previous window replacement job that show roof surface and pitch dimensions. However, these were explicitly noted as informational only and not to be used for precise measurements or call-outs. The document indicates that minimal additional drawings or as-built measurements are available for the Lock and Dam 14 Reroof project, which may impact contractor preparation and bidding.
