Questions & Answers 1

March 22, 2017

Question 1. Would the Government consider putting a line item for mobilization in the On

Demand and Emergency Response CLIN items?

Background - If a sampling team is called out to collect a single asbestos sample or 10 water samples to be analyzed for BTX, PAH, CHC, & Heavy metals, the price of mobilization will be the same. Having a line item for mobilization can provide more flexibility to the Government customer and allow the contractor to price only lab analysis into the lab analysis costs.

Government Response: PWS and Price Book revised. See PWS paragraph 5.7 and CLINs

0004 - 4004 in the Price Book.

Question 2. What parameters are being requested for analysis in CLINs 0002AA – 0002AK and

CLINs 0003AA – 0003AK?

Government Response:

CLINs 0002AA – 0002AK and CLINs 0003AA – 0003AK are only for samples taken in that group. Parameters will be found in Water, analysis for the following parameters (0002AL through 0002BG ) and Analysis of ground vapor, soil and other samples, preparation and analysis (parameters as described) (0002BH through 0002BY).

NOTE: The Price Book is updated and these Sub-CLINs are renumbered accordingly. See

CLINs 0002AA – 0002AN, CLINs 0002AP – 0002BK, and CLINs 0002BL – 0002BZ.

Question 3. CLIN 0002BL and 0003BL – Wood preparation for analysis, what parameters are to be analyzed? Is this to be assumed to be building material?

Government Response: CLINs 0002BL is moved to Sampling IAW PWS 5.3. CLIN 0003BL is deleted.

NOTE: The Price Book is updated and these Sub-CLINs are renumbered accordingly. See CLIN

0002AL.

Question 4. CLINs 0002BZ and 0003BZ – Can this be assumed to be asbestos bulk sampling?

Government Response: No, it is a solid single sample.

CLINs 0002CA and 0003BW.

Question 5. CLINs 0002CA and 0003CA – Can this be assumed to be an 8 hour asbestos indoor air sampling collection and analysis?

Government Response: Not necessarily. This is air sampling for asbestos, which must be completed in accordance with VDI guidelines.

CLINs 0002CB and 0003BX.

Question 6. CLINs 0002BD and 0003BD – Is this meant to be only the Eluate portion of the

LAGA or the complete LAGA? Is version 1997 or 2004 requested?

Government Response: CLINs 0002BD and 0003BD are Eluate only. The Government requires use of LAGA version 1997, which was last updated in 2004.

CLINs 0002BG and 0003BD.
