2. Please clarify, in spec section 084113 “aluminum framed entrances and storefronts” section 2.2 “Manufacturers”, spec calls for Trifab 451 UT by Kawneer with the glazing plan listed as (front) in section 2.3 “framing” line #3. This combination is NOT available. Trifab 451 UT only available in (center set).

Revise Specification Section 084113.2.2.B to read:

A. Basis-of-Design Product: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide Kawneer North America; an Alcoa Company; Trifab VG 451T or comparable product by one of the following:

a. With more review of the drawing I see that all the details on sheets A711 and A712 are showing “center set” details. Please clarify if we are to follow the details or specifications as called out for “front set”.

Revise Specification Section 084113.2.3.A.3 to read:

3. Glazing Plane: Center.

3. In the “curtain wall” specs 084413, section 2.5 (sun control), it looks like they are calling for vertical and horizontal shade controls. Details are clear for the vertical “extended beauty caps” but I see no details for the horizontal “air foil”. It shows on sheet A301 detail #2 in elevation and in the section drawing A 411 detail #3 but I see no detail of this on sheet A 711 or A 712. I am not sure if these materials are designed to go together. Please provide detail of the extended beauty cap and airfoil together.

See the revised Details 11 & 13 on Drawing Sheet A711 attached.

4. Truss spec 54400 says we can only use Ultra Span Truss Manufacture. Please confirm that an “or equal” is permissible as federal projects generally are not able to specify/mandate a particular manufacturer or brand.

Revise Specification Section 054400.2.2.A to read:

Add Specification Section 054400.2.2.B to read:

A. Basis-of-Design Product: Subject to compliance with requirements, provide Ultra- Span® Truss , by Aegis Metal Framing, LLC or comparable product by one of the following:

1. Sanford Contracting Incorporated.

2. All-Span, Inc.

5. AD201 / What is the thickness of the concrete roof structure on grid lines 3&4 Between C&D -line?

The thickness of the existing concrete roof structure on grid lines 3 & 4 between C & D is 8”.

6. What is the existing roof construction made of and what is the load weight of the roof? The shoring contractor will need this information as well as the as- built drawings in order to provide an engineer’s stamp of the shore plan.

The existing roof structure consists of built up roofing, 3 ¼” rigid insulation, 1 ½” metal deck, on wide flange steel or metal bar joist framing members. The load weight varies and will need to be determined by the shoring contractor’s engineer.

7. Are there construction details of the wing walls and soffits that get demolished?

No details will be provided of the existing work to be demolished other than that indicated on the Demolition Drawings provided in the Contract Documents.

The existing wing walls are CMU.

The existing soffit are ½” exterior gypsum on ¾” furring channels and L3x3x1/4” framing at 24” O.C. The existing fascia above the soffits is a 1 ½” thick CMU veneer with a 1” grout space on ¾” plywood and L3x3x1/4” framing at 24” O.C. There is an existing continuous WT3x7.5 at the bottom corner edge of the fascia and the soffit that spans between the wing walls. The top cord of the existing roof joist and 1 ½” metal roof deck extend to a W14x22 at the outer edge of the fascia which also spans between the wing walls.
