W9124V19B0002 AMENDMENT 0001
Construct Aircraft Apron – JKSE 169101
W9124V19B0002
AMENDMENT 0001
CONSTRUCT AIRCRAFT APRON – PROJECT JKSE 169101
Montana Air National Guard, Great Falls, Montana
Date of Amendment: August 16, 2019
1. Drawings – Sheet E102
Regarding Note #3 on Sheet E102, it was confirmed with GFIA on 8/1/19 that these existing conduits (parallel to Taxiway A) have been abandoned in place.
However, the Airport wants to maintain them and so they are to be protected in place with this project. Exact number and depths of the conduits as they transition through the site are unknown, however, from as-built drawings it is believed they are not CLSM encased. It is estimated that there are up to 6 conduits (4” PVC). They are likely located at a depth that coincides with the bottom of the pavement section (within the base course). These existing conduits are to be CLSM encased under all new pavement sections.
2. Drawings – Sheets E202 and E203
All new conduits shown on Sheets E202 and E203 are to be provided and installed under the Base Bid for the project.
3. Drawings – Sheet E203
Flag Note #22 on Sheet E203 has been modified to clarify that an extra heavy duty airport rated cover is required on the existing ground pull box. Additionally, a new Sheet E415 has been added that shows photos of the existing pull box lid, with dimensions. New Sheets E203 and E415 are included with this Addendum.
4. Drawings – Sheet C106
Delete the “3/4” MIN” dimension shown at the bottom of the Expansion Joint detail. Joint width to be between 1/2” and 5/8”, as shown at the top of the detail.
5. Drawings – Sheet C106 and Specifications – Section 321314.13
Dowels for PCC Pavement are to be of Grade 60 steel, epoxy-coated and oiled.

7. Drawings – Sheet F101 and Specifications -Section 323113
Chain Link Fence – There are pipe size discrepancies between the chain link fence details on Sheet F101 and Specification Section 323113. All pipe sizes (end posts, brace posts, line posts and rail) for new chain link fencing shall be in accordance with Sheet F101. And Section 323113, Part 2.2.6 is deleted - center rails are not required between line posts.

Delete the word “stranded” from Note 1 on Sheets E102 and E103. All counterpoise shall be solid copper.
9. Drawings – Sheet E102
Sheet E102, Detail A, depth of bury shall be amended to 2’-0”. The copper counterpoise shall remain 4” – 6” TYP above the top of conduit. Sheet E102, Detail C, shall be amended to show 24” depth under the shoulder pavement, requiring the shoulder conduit to bend downwards to the required depth beneath the taxiway pavements.
10. Drawings – Sheet E103
The (6) new taxiway lights located closest to the existing run-up pad, along proposed Taxiway M8 (ABI #2) are deleted and replaced in the same location with (6) L-853 Retroreflective Taxiway Markers, meeting the following requirements:
Post Height: 24” Reflective Color: Blue Mount Type: Surface Mount
Move CLSM encased PVC duct that crosses proposed Taxiway M8, associated cans, ground rods and duct makers 186.4 feet toward Taxiway A to coincide with the beginning of the taxiway fillets. Remove trench, PVC Duct and counterpoise on each side of Taxiway M8 to coincide with the relocation described above.
