QUESTIONS & ANSWERS POST WIDE RIGGING

1. On the Confidence Obstacle Course can we get a list of the 26 events? They sometimes vary from base to base.

A. Yes. Attachment named ‘cocinspection&eventlist” has been added to the solicitation.

2. Can we get a list of events for the Army Fitness School Course?

A. Yes. Attachment named ‘fitnessschooleventlist” has been added to the solicitation.

3. Are there any pictures, site plans or shop drawings of all/any of the Obstacles/Courses to be inspected?

A. Yes. See answer to questions 1, 2, and attachment named ftw2_graphics.

4. Is it possible to get the latest inspection reports for all/any of the Obstacles/Courses to be inspected?

A. Yes. See answer to question 1, attachments named ‘ftw1_inspection and attachment named “ftw2_inspection”.

5. Can we get a copy of Engineered Drawing DEF 028-13-95 and Obstacle Course Layout Plan as states in the PWS?

A. These drawings are not available. Information referencing this items will be deleted from the PWS.

6. What is the total number of safety nets to be tested?

A. Four (4).

7. Is there any information on the 2 obstacle walls that are to be constructed for the Army Fitness School in the base year of the contract?

A. See answer to question 2.

8. Is a registered engineer required? if so, does it have to be a SC registration? If so, at all inspections or just drop testing inspections?

A. A registered Engineer is required. Does no need a SC registration.

9. Who is supplying materials: (ropes, nets, hardware). In PWS section 3 is states the government and in PWS section 4 it states the contractor and again is section 5 it states the government.

A. The contractor will provide all ropes, nets, lumber and hardware.

10. What should be the procedure for anticipating the scope of the repairs for each obstacle/course over the 5 year period. Is there any current data on the condition of the courses? Last paint/wood treatment? Approximate age of poles/wood/metal members?

A. Only the last safety inspection (see attachments). Last paint/wood treatment was completed on 2015. The approximate age of poles/wood/metal members vary.

11. Are drop/load tests required to be conducted or observed by NIST registered lab?

A. No. By the Fort Jackson Safety Office.

12. Who is the incumbent, the contract number and the total amount for the current contract.

A. The current contract number is W9124C-10-D-0006. The current contractor is Cornerstone Designs Inc., and the total amount for the contract is $643,483.41.
