Question

Questions Close July 23, 2020

Drawing V‐100 indicates that approximately 280 cyd of excess material is to be removed from the work area per note 1. Specification 31 00 00 paragraph 3.6 states to remove surplus material from Government property and deliver it to a licensed/permitted facility, indicating a landfill. Some of the excavated material may be substantial in size, such as rock, and may not be acceptable to a landfill. It appears that slopes adjacent to the excavated area may be suitable for placement of excess material. Could excess material remain on site and be placed on adjacent slopes?

Detail A2, Restricted Sign Profile on drawing CN200 shows the dimensions for the concrete foundation to be 4’‐0” deep and 11’‐0” wide. Detail D7 on drawing CN501 and F1 on drawing CN502 show the dimensions to be 3’6” deep and 10’‐0” wide.

Please verify the correct dimensions.

Will the Contractor be allowed access to the Warning Sign work site through the NW Pier where there is currently other work taking place by others?
