Questions and Answers
1. On drawings Demolition Detail 1, it appears that the brick is double layer. Detail on drawings 3 & 2 appear to show that the contractor is to install block and brick. This is confusing. Will the government please clarify the demolition detail and also what is required for the contactor to install? (block and brick)
A. The Government has provided Drawing 8079_a1v8-2017, Demolition Detail 1 which directly represents the as-built drawings the Government has for this project. The
Contractor is required to provide a block and brick parapet as shown in the Typical
Wall Detail 2 and 3 provided.
2. Are the precast blocks that are installed vertical on the exterior walls to be re-caulked?
A. Yes, with backer rod as needed.
