Q&A Posted 03/11/2019

1. What type of vegetation is in this lake that needs to be removed?

Water lily, lotus, coon tail, water shield.

2. Will there be markers that will provide the locations of what to be removed?

Yes, also in regards to the area to be marked off for treatments, and the perimeter will be delineated ahead of time.

Everything within the perimeter will count toward the acreage which will also be known ahead of time. When we talk in acres, we mean surface acres....there will be 40-60 surface acres delineated and all vegetation within the specified depths will be removed within that delineated area.

3. What date in June do you think the job will start?

The start time would be determined by the amount of growth of aquatic vegetation.

4. If there is a tree or stump in the way will we be counted against us if we skip around that area?

You would need to go around the area, the government will not move any tree stumps, you will provided with an additional area to make up for the difference.

5. After we cut the vegetation one day and the next day we come back and a stem has floated up would that be considered a second treatment if we have to go back and cut it?

You will not be required to recut previous material that has already been cut.

6. Once you mark your areas if there are any additional areas outside of the first marked areas will that be in the yards per acre or will we have to add on to the initial price?

You will be paid for what you cut, if you cut out outside the marked area, it would count towards your total count and would be worked out with the POC.

7. What about the dump sites and is the contractor responsible for disposing of the material?

The contractor is responsible for moving and disposing of the material at the assigned location.

The only offload sites are at each end of the dam and the boat ramp. The material will then be loaded and taken and dumped at the clay pit approx.. 300 yds due west of the west end of the dam. This can be viewed on Google Earth. The boat ramp is on the east side of the lake just north of the dam.
