LEMC NDT NDT X-Ray System
Note to all respondents-this contractor did not have specific questions, but highlighted sections of the Statement of Work which LEMC is responding to>
1. Question #1: 1.1.4.2 ASTM DOCUMENTS: ASTM E2698 – Standard Practice for Radiological
Examination using Digital Detector Arrays, ASTM E1742 Standard Practice for Radiographic Examination, and SMPTE RP 133 – Specifications for Medical Diagnostic Imaging Test Pattern at time of award
Answer #1: Acceptable to be completed post award.
2. Question #2: 2.1 Installation of this equipment will be located in building 5250 of LEMC.
Installation shall include shipment of the equipment from the manufacturer to LEMC. Then offloading the equipment at LEMC and placing the equipment inside of 5250, and removal of all shipping materials. Installation shall include all movement and handling of each of the parts, components, power supplies, hardware, mounting brackets, cabinets, external assemblies, tubes, controls, anything else required to make the equipment operational, shall be handled, moved and controlled by the contractor.
Answer #2: LEMC cannot offload anything. We will not supply a forklift or operator for this action-requirement. We will have facility power run to a control panel for unit operation for the awardee. We can discard shipping materials if they are not hazardous.
3. Question #3: 5.2 Second Year DR & CT Software Maintenance/Updates, and a single PM visit. All PMs must be conducted at LEMC. The PM visit will include all applicable parts that will require replacement during the PM. “ The PM’s would not cover parts. We will option the cost for a system warranty separate for years 2 and 3.”
Answer #3: Additional parts will be quoted under the warranty options for Option years #1 and #2.
4. Question #4: 8.1.4.1 Base Year: This shall begin on a designated date after the equipment has been successfully installed and operation training is completed. This shall include at least 1 PM and the extended warranty parts and labor for services. This shall also include any software and/or hardware updates according to OEM. “Shall begin upon title transfer/delivery.”
Answer #4: Acceptable.

5. Question #5-Regarding quoting the required options 5 Maintenance: 5.3 Third Year DR & CT Software aintenance/Updates, and a single PM visit. All PMs must be conducted at LEMC. The PM visit will include all applicable parts that will require replacement during the PM. The contractor stated they are able to provide a quote.
Answer #5: Acceptable.
6. Question #6: Regarding Salient Characteristics - Combines 2 or more datasets taken at different current settings.
Answer #6: The current settings of the supplied unit.
7. Question #7: Regarding Salient Characteristics-The contractor offered several specific comments regarding stored capacity and dimensions.
Answer #7: Acceptable to both.
8. Question #8: Can the advanced training provided by the OEM of the unit be subcontracted out?
Answer #8: Yes, that is correct. “Also, training can be purchased on our website for the 40hr classes”, from the PWS orignal manufacturer.
