Answer to RFIs. Pleases review and distribute.
1) There’s no mention of what to do with the existing fence post footing “plugs”, such as cut to X” below grade and abandon or remove in entirety. Since, the new specification reduces spacing between poles from 10’ to 6’, it’s very possible to set new pole footings in a pattern that skip over existing pole footings, saving considerable expense and ground disturbance. Please advise.
a. The existing fence shall be removed entirely to include existing concrete plugs.
2) Are the new post footings required to be 16” dia. X 40” deep for the 4” posts?
a. There is no change to the footing specification.
3) Can you please provide a manufacturer reference or identify an example of a current product that meets the obscuration specifications requested in 1.4.1.1 (c) 3.?
a. I cannot provide specific manufacturer or supplier, nor can I recommend an individual manufacturer or supplier. My market research led me to several sites that were very helpful.
Hooverfence.com, ballfabrics.com, weathersolve.com, tarpsnow.com, ascreenteam.com, cifabrics.com, pakglobal.com.
4) I also wanted to mention that the updated ATT2 Perimeter Fence diagram has two different working lengths noted (1225FT at the start point and 1300FT at the end point), although the updated SOW and RFI response is very clear we are quoting total length at 1300.
a. Please use 1300’ as the length for estimating purposes.
