Additional Questions and Responses
1. On Questions and Answers you wrote for Question 11. You require Maintenance Service which would include PM Service, customary parts, repair, labor, and travel. To us that is considered a Full Service Plan. Under the FSP (Full Service Plan), the customer is entitled to an unlimited number of service calls. The service includes the repair of the instrument, labor, travel time/cost, PM(s) and necessary parts.
a. On Additional Questions and Responses you mention in several areas that your requirement is for PM Service. Our PM (Preventive Maintenance Plan) and procedures offer the following; One day complete LC-MS-MS Preventive Maintenance, multi vendor single source solution, vendor specific PM checklist, PM scheduling and customary consumables provided.
Can you please let me know if you want FSP (Full Service Plan) or a PM (Preventive Maintenance Plan)?
Response:
The instruments will not be repaired prior to the start of the contract. We realize that most( maybe all) vendors will require a recertification of the instrumentation prior to the start of the contract. According to our business office, they (the business office) said they would add the additional funding for the recertification if it is necessary. Hopefully this is an adequate explanation for what you need since I am sure this potentially complicates things.
