DOD IUID REGISTRY QUERY

Inspect the Primary (WP 0018 00, Figure 1) and Utility (WP 0064 00, Figure 1) accessory system manifolds for the presence of a 2-D data matrix via an IUID data plate, OPM IUID data plates (WP 0018 00, Figure 2 and WP 0064 00, Figure 2) or other IUID label media.

NOTE

Do not remove IUID data plate(s) unless necessitated by damage, maintenance requirements or determination that the item does not meet the criteria below.

If the Primary or Utility Hydraulic System Accessories Manifolds arrive with an IUID data plate other than what is depicted in (WP 0018 00 Figure 1, Figure 2 or WP 0064 00 Figure 1, Figure 2) contact cognizant AMRDEC engineering or contracting officer representative (COR) for replacement instructions.

1. If no 2-D data matrix is present, query the DoD IUID Registry via the Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) (WP

0144 00, WEBSITES) and/or US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), The Army Maintenance Management System - Aviation/Maintenance Consolidated Database System (TAMMS-A/MCDS), Unique Identification (UID) database at https://tamms-a.redstone.army.mil, using legacy information (PN/SN) for a UII match to ensure there are no multiple UIIs or duplication. If there is no match, an UII shall be created using Construct 1 and Text Elements Identifiers (TEIs) SPL and UCN, IAW DoD Guide to Uniquely Identifying Items and/or MIL-STD-130, and register in the DoD IUID Registry via the WAWF or TAMMS-A/MCDS, UID database (WP 0144 00, WEBSITES). The UII can be constructed by the overhaul facility using the overhaul facility's CAGE Code (SPL) and assigned UCN; or the overhaul facility can request an UII from AMCOM (AMSAM-MMC-MA-NM); or generate an UII via the TAMMS-A/MCDS, UID database (WP 0144 00, WEBSITES).

2. If a 2-D data matrix is present, scan/read data matrix using a handheld data matrix reader (WP 0014 00, Table 1, Item 52) or an equivalent. Using the scanned data query the DoD IUID Registry via the WAWF and/or TAMMS-A/MCDS, UID database (WP 0144 00, WEBSITES). If the registry and/or UID database returns a record, record data and all pertinent information required to reconstruct the 2-D data matrix and IUID data plate (UII, HRI, PN, information on the data plate...). It is necessary that the UII and recorded data be matched to the same Primary or Utility Hydraulic System Accessories Manifolds found during in-process inspection.

WARNING

ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL, TECHNICAL

3. If a 2-D data matrix is present and cannot be read after two attempts, clean the 2-D data matrix with a clean cloth (WP 0157 00, Item 4) moistened with isopropyl alcohol (WP 0157 00, Item 24) and scan/read again. If the 2-D data matrix cannot be read, using the HRI combination of the Enterprise Identifier (MFR, 7L or SPL), Serial Number (SER or S) or Unique Component Number (UCN), as applicable, query the DoD IUID Registry via the WAWF and/or TAMMS-A/MCDS, UID database (WP 0144 00, WEBSITES). If the registry and/or UID database returns a record, record data and all pertinent information required to reconstruct the 2-D data matrices and IUID data plate (UII, HRI, PN, information on the data plate...). It is necessary that the UII and recorded data be matched to the Primary or Utility Hydraulic System Accessories Manifolds found during in-process inspection.

4. If there is no recorded UII in the DoD IUID Registry and/or TAMMS-A/MCDS, UID database, create an UII in accordance with Step 1. Refer to (WP 0018 00, Primary or WP 0064 00, Utility) for IUID data plate replacement.

The verification for minimum print quality grade applies to compliant IUID data plates that have been removed and will be reapplied. For components having an compliant IUID data plate that is installed (is not being removed during the M&O event), the IUID data plate can remain on the component provided the 2-D data matrix passes a readability check per WP 0018 00, (Primary) Aluminum IUID Data Plate Application, Step 7 or WP 0064 00, (Utility) Aluminum IUID Data Plate Application, Step 7.

5. If the IUID data plate requires removal, record all data for the replacement of the 2-D data matrix. If reinstalling the same IUID data plate, using a grader (WP 0014 00, Table 1, Item 53) or an equivalent, ensure the MRI has a minimum print quality passing grade per parameters specified in MIL-STD-130. As an exception, the grading requirements for verification of laser etch black anodized aluminum plates can be per WP 0018 00, Table 1. Replace any IUID label media that doesn't meet the MRI minimum grade requirements. All data recorded shall be matched to the same Primary or Utility Hydraulic System Accessories Manifolds found during in-process inspection or registry query. Continue component through the M&O process until the Primary or Utility Hydraulic System Accessories Manifolds are ready for IUID marking. Refer to WP 0018 00 (Primary) or WP 00664 00 (Utility)for IUID data plate replacement.

IUID LIFE CYCLE EVENT (LCE)

A life cycle event specific to UID compliance is any change to the permanent status of an item i.e., lost, stolen, destroyed…, that the DOD Guide to Uniquely Identifying Items requires be reported to the DOD IUID registry.

If applicable, report to the DoD IUID Registry via the WAWF (WP 0144 00, WEBSITES) or TAMMS-A/MCDS, UID database at https://tamms-a.redstone.army.mil, the item's change of permanent status if one of the life cycle events listed in Table 0.0 occur.

IUID PARENT CHILD RELATIONSHIP

A parent item is an assembly, intermediate component or subassembly that has an embedded item with an UII or DoD recognized UII equivalent. If applicable, upon completion of the M&O event, report component parent child relationship updates to the DoD IUID Registry via the WAWF (WP 0144 00, WEBSITES) or TAMMS-A/MCDS, UID database at https://tamms-a.redstone.army.mil.

PART NUMBER CONFIGURATION CHANGE

If required, upon completion of the M&O event, the component part number configuration changes (part number roll/dash number change) that would require an addition or update to the PNR or 30P (current part number), the configuration change shall be reported to the DoD IUID Registry via the WAWF (WP 0144 00, WEBSITES) or TAMMS-A/MCDS, UID database at https://tamms-a.redstone.army.mil.
