Vendor Q & A
26-350SOS-SOS35-B-52714
1. Canvas Tote Bags
0. The specification references a 12" x 12" tote bag.
0. If a supplier can provide a comparable canvas tote bag with slightly different dimensions (for example 11" x 13"), would that be considered acceptable, provided the overall functionality and quality remain equivalent?
Slightly different dimensions are acceptable provided it is a sturdy canvas.
1. Metal Key Tags
0. The artwork package includes a metal key tag in the shape shown in the attachment.
0. Can you confirm that the State is requesting both:
i. a soft vinyl key tag, and
ii. a separate metal key tag, as separate products under this solicitation?
The state is requesting quotes for both soft vinyl key tags and metal key tags but will be choosing one to order.
1. Metal Key Tag Dimensions Is there a required finished size for the metal key tag, or is the Illinois-shaped artwork the primary requirement?
The shape of this will be rectangular, as it will be in the shape of the Life Goes On Logo and 2.5 inches in length. The soft vinyl will be in the shape of Illinois.
1. Lanyards
0. The sample artwork shows a lanyard with a metal attachment clip.
0. Is the clip required, or would a standard lanyard without a clip be acceptable?
Must have a metal clip.
1. Pens Is the intent to purchase a retractable ballpoint pen with the provided artwork, or are alternative pen styles acceptable if they meet the branding requirements?
It does not need to be the exact Pilot brand, but it must be a retractable gel pen with a gripper and clip.
1. Chip Clips
0. Can you confirm whether the chip clips are required to include a magnet backing?
Yes, they must have a magnetic backing?
1. Equivalent Products
0. For promotional items where exact dimensions or configurations may vary slightly between manufacturers, will the State consider equivalent products that are substantially similar in size, quality, functionality, and appearance?
Equivalent products that are substantially similar in size, quality, functionality, and appearance will be considered.
1. Will the State accept domestic equivalents or alternative manufacturers when the supplied product meets or exceeds the specifications?
