This document is a Method of Operation for Bid Solicitation #25DPP01189 issued by the State of New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Purchase and Property. The contract has been awarded on a sole-source basis to The Yaros Company Inc. for scrap metal collection and recycling services across the Northern, Central, and Southern regions of New Jersey. The contract is available for use by state Using Agencies and Cooperative Purchasing Participants, with designated Agency Representatives established for the New Jersey Department of Transportation, Department of the Treasury BOSS Warehouse, and New Jersey State Police, among other agencies.

The contract covers the collection, recycling, and disposal of scrap metals including light iron, steel, aluminum, copper, stainless steel, brass, lead, lead acid batteries, and crushed steel drums through a rebate program model. Under this arrangement, the contractor remits monthly payments to the State based on the weight and commodity pricing of collected materials. The contractor must submit monthly statements by the last business day of each month, including weigh slips, itemized summaries by agency, commodity type, net weight, and pricing based on the appropriate metal commodity index for the pick-up date. Monthly payments are made via check to the Treasurer of the State of New Jersey within ten business days of month-end, with Using Agency fiscal representatives required to process and forward these payments to the Department of the Treasury within seven business days of receipt.
