About this file

This document is a Single Source Justification for Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) from the Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically from Network Contracting Office (NCO) 10. The procurement is for Tri W-G exam tables with unique characteristics including motorized Hi-Lo height adjustment, adjustable back and leg sections, and a 12-gauge steel frame. The tables feature integrated storage shelves and are UL Classified 60601-1 for medical electrical safety compliance.

The acquisition will be set aside for small business competition using brand name specifications, with a required delivery date of 6 weeks after receipt of order. Market research identified three capable small business vendors: Veterans Healthcare Supply Solutions (VHSS), Best Priced Products, and Performance Health. The Contracting Officer will determine price reasonableness by comparing proposed prices with previous purchase prices in the Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS). The procurement is valued under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold of $250,000 and follows Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) guidelines for single-source awards.
