Special Notice
NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE
Exam Tables
The Department of Veterans Affairs Dayton Veterans Affairs Medical Center (DAY VAMC), 4100 West 3rd Street, Dayton, OH 45428, intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106(b)(1)(i) - Contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The NAICS code is 339113 with a small business size standard of 800 employees. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with Tri W-G, 215 12th Avenue NE Valley City, ND 58072, for exam tables through one of their authorized distributors.
The requirement is for Tri W-G exam tables to replace outdated tables that are no longer supported by the manufacturer and to ensure standardization and continuity in patient care. These tables feature motorized Hi-Lo height adjustment, adjustable back and leg sections, a durable 12-gauge steel frame, and integrated storage shelves. They are UL Classified 60601-1 for medical electrical safety compliance. The combination of motorized functionality, structural design, precise adjustability, and safety certification is proprietary to Tri W-G. Alternative tables may not be compatible with existing treatment room configurations, patient handling protocols, or clinical workflow, and use of non-Tri W-G tables could compromise patient accessibility, caregiver efficiency, and safety compliance.
Other persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement by Monday, September 15, 2025 at 5PM EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. No solicitation is available at this time. All inquiries must be submitted by email to Rachelle Hamer at rachelle.hamer@va.gov.
