About this file

This is a Notice of Intent to Certify Sole Source from the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) for the renewal of Cancer Registry Software Maintenance and Support services for OncoLog software. The procurement seeks to renew software maintenance and support services for OncoLog, a critical cancer registry data system used for identifying new cancer cases, abstracting data according to national standards, preparing standardized and custom reports, exporting data to meet state and accreditation requirements, analyzing cancer registry data, conducting survival reporting and graphics, and identifying cancer deaths. The first advertisement date is July 10, 2026, with a second advertisement date of July 17, 2026. The response deadline for objectors is July 24, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Central Time, with the Notice of Award or No Award to be posted on the same date. The contract term is three years with no renewal options mentioned.

The estimated total expenditure for the three-year Cancer Registry Software Maintenance and Support renewal is $49,629.00. UMMC justifies this sole source certification under Mississippi state law, citing that OncoLog is compatible equipment for which OncoLog's manufacturer, Onco, Inc., is the sole supplier capable of providing the required software maintenance and support services. The amount is considered reasonable based on comparison against available market intelligence and identified discounts. Interested parties who believe the renewal should not be certified as sole source may submit objections using the Vendor Form found on the Mississippi Department of Finance and Administration website, along with the required Objection Certification included as Attachment B. All responses must be submitted to solesource@umc.edu by the deadline, with UMMC reserving the right to inspect any commodity for comparison purposes.
