Due to age and unexpected repairs, both compressor systems will need to be replaced and upgraded to accommodate future mission requirements. The compressed air system supplies the air required to operate all wood working equipment within Bldg. 351.

2. Scope of Work:

A. Contractor shall remove two (2) each existing air compressors with holding tanks mounted underneath, (1) air dryer, and existing air system plumbing in need of replacing due to equipment age and one compressor has completely failed and is not repairable.

Note: Shall be equivalent to or greater than the compressors and dryers listed below:

2 each Ingersoll Rand Rotary Screw Air Compressors, Model RS22I-A115-TAS- 230, Horizontal, 30 HP 123 cfm, 120 gallon Tank, 230 V AC, 3 phase, 60 HZ with air dryer included.

B. Contractor shall supply and install two (2) each new compressed air supply systems (including air compressor, air dryers and filters) that supply compressed air to the box shop equipment in Bldg. 351. All equipment furnished and installed by the contractor shall be designed and rated by the manufacturer for “continuous industrial use”. All required piping, valves, filters, separators, regulators, gauges, lubricators, and auxiliary components shall be provided by the contractor. The compressed air supply system shall include:

1) Replace two (2) each Ingersoll Rand, model UP6-30-125 rotary screw air compressors with (2) each Ingersoll Rand, model RS22I-A115-TAS-230 new rotary screw air compressors or equivalent with the following minimum specifications:

2) The compressor shall work such that each unit works on alternating days to ensure equal utilization. In addition, the second compressor shall activate in the event that the primary compressor for that day does not have sufficient capacity for the all the air requirements for the equipment at that particular time until the peak demand is satisfied.
