About this file

This statement of work outlines packaging requirements and procedures for a federal contractor providing sustainment services for aircraft initiators. The contractor must use the Special Packaging Instructions Retrieval & Exchange System website to view packaging requirements or drawings. Reusable containers received must be safeguarded if suitable for return shipment, or unserviceable containers must be disposed of and replaced. The contractor will submit supply discrepancy reports using the Web Supply Discrepancy Report system for any improperly packed assets received from DoD components. Exceptions to current packaging instructions require waiver approval from the prime Air Force Sustainment Complex Packaging Office. The statement of work directs the contractor to utilize the ASSIST website to access specifications and standards in the solicitation, and provides points of contact for packaging questions. Applicable government packaging documents include the DLMS 4000.25 manual and TO 00-85B-3 technical order on packaging Air Force spares.
