About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details the reconditioning process for seven Rotor Blower Assemblies used on 6V92 engines for the US Coast Guard Surface Forces Logistics Center. The document specifies a comprehensive repair process including opening, inspection, disassembly, testing, and reassembly of the blower assemblies to restore them to original/like-new condition. Key requirements include using only Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts from Detroit Diesel/MTU, performing standard production tests, and providing certification of successful repairs.
The SOW outlines specific technical requirements for preservation, with each blower to be individually wrapped and preserved for two years, and packed in an OEM box with specific marking requirements. The vendor must submit an inspection report within 15 days of receiving the materials, with a total delivery timeline of 60 days after inspection report approval. The solicitation (Number 70Z04025Q5CA002) is for a firm fixed-price purchase order, with no down payments, and payment to be made net 30 days after acceptance by the US Coast Guard. The procurement will be conducted using simplified acquisition procedures and awarded on a best value basis.
