About this file

This is an Overhaul Description document for a U.S. Coast Guard contract to repair seven (7) Rotor Blower Assemblies used on 6V92 diesel engines for the Surface Forces Logistics Center's Small Boat Product Line. The document specifies detailed requirements for opening, inspecting, disassembling, and overhauling the blower assemblies, with strict adherence to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications from Detroit Diesel and MTU Marine. All replacement parts must be new and manufactured by the original equipment manufacturer.

Key contract details include a cost estimate not to exceed $1,872.04, a standard manufacturer's warranty, and specific packaging and preservation requirements. Each blower must be individually preserved and wrapped to protect against deterioration for two years, packed in a wooden box with specific marking requirements, and come with certification of standard production tests. Recommended sources for the work include W.W. Williams Midwest Inc., WW Williams Co., and Grand Slam Diesel Services LLC. The government will perform acceptance at the destination, verifying no transit damage and contractor's compliance with all preservation and packaging specifications.
