Technical Characteristics FINAL
| Technical Characteristics for DOS A-LM Transformers under SBE10017Q5000 | |||
| Mandatory Technical Compliance "Pass/Fail" Criteria (Ref. M-001) | Pass/Fail | ||
| 1 | Mandatory Compliance | 220/240VAC to 110/120VAC | |
| 2 | Auto-Transformer with Polarity Warning* OR Isolation Transformer | ||
| 3 | Transformer itself possesses label with UL listed or UL recognized symbols or independent testing agency equivalent *** | ||
| 4 | European three-prong SCHUKO plug | ||
| 5 | Single Phase |
| Technical Characteristics | |
| 1 | Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) safety feature or comparable will discontinue input power if any ground fault current or 10 mA or more is sensed** |
| 2 | Maximum Wattage: 1000, 2000 (Offer must meet wattage requirements for all line items) |
| 3 | Unit is thermally protected |
| 4 | Portable based on handle, size and weight (Offer must provide dimensional specifications and picture) |
| 5 | Polarity warning light is clearly labeled "Light On, Polarity Reversed" or comparable* |
| Failure to meet these specifications will result in an unacceptable rating | |
| Notes: | |
| * Polarity warning light must be clearly labeled on the unit "Light on, Polarity Reversed or comparable" | |
| * Unit that is provided with a Green Polarity OK light is acceptable. Must be labeled. Red polarity OK light is not acceptable. |
| ** To prevent potential shock hazards, customer requires a two-pole Ground Fault Interrupter (GFI) safety feature that will |
| discontinue the supply of input power to the voltage converter unit if any ground fault current or 10 mA or more is sensed. |
| **The GFI device shall be wired to sense ground fault current paths related to the unit’s metallic components as well as any ground fault |
| paths via connected appliances plugged into the unit’s output receptacles. |
| *** If other independent listing agency is used, TÜV, CSA, VDE, online verification site information must be provided. |
| ***GOV reserves the right to accept or reject independent agency listing if NOT verifiable online, i.e.. www.ul.com/database , https://www.tuev-sued.de/product-testing/certificates |
| ***Documentation describing labeling as "UL accepted", "UL approved", or "UL certified" alone will not be accepted. The unit must be appropriately marked. |
| ***CE is not a recognized independent testing agency and will not be accepted. |
| ***The submitted technical data must be verifiable against publically available/online information. |
| Expected Characteristics and Operating Conditions |
| All internal wiring should be color coded . |
| All internal wiring should be temperature rated to withstand heat generated from transformer. |
| The transformer should be suitable for ambient operation between -5 degree C to 40 degree C. |
| The transformer windings should be copper not aluminum conductors. |
| The wiring sizes shall be provided to carry the current carrying capacity of the transformer rating size. |
| The transformer should rest on raised non-conducting feet of minimum 2cm to assure no contact with the set up surface. |
One transformer must be provided with quote for physical inspection and testing in accordance with FAR 52.214-20 Bid Samples
