Questions and Answers – Robins North Safety Lines Requirement

RFQ F3QCCL1041A004

Questions The attached drawing you provided on SAM does not identify what the "yellow line" is on the plans. I am assuming the yellow line represents the safety line being requested, but I wanted to double check before I made any assumptions.

Yellow lines are NOT for this project. These are just identified shop areas.

The drawing is only showing the location of the hangar doors.

Can you tell me how many linear feet are anticipated to be applied?

52 feet long. Come out 5 ft (east and west) 52 foot lone length of the door.

Whole area identified as a clear zone. Both inside and out.

Is any kind of surface preparation required prior to applying the safety line?

The Contractor in business should know what kind of preparation is needed.

Can you ask the buyer to provide a real world photo of the specific "danger" sign they are requesting? I want to make sure we have the exact specification the buyer is needing.

See attached photos

Can the buyer provide a measurement of linear feet that will require yellow safety striping?

52 feet long. Come out 5 ft (east and west) 52 foot lone length of the door.

Whole area identified as a clear zone. Both inside and out.

Yellow lines are NOT for this project.

Can the buyer provide a specific photo of the floor area where the "danger sign" will be located?

See attached photos

Does the buyer have a preferred paint manufacturer/specification for this project?

No, best guess on floor coating needs to be weather resistant and anti-slip/skid, maybe even reflective or high visibility markings

When does buyer anticipate work will begin?

Contract estimated award date is 21 April 2021 – Project start date can begin within 10 days of contract award

Will the area be occupied during this project?

There will be all kinds of traffic in and out throughout the doors

Is the work area interior or exterior?

Lines will need to be painted inside and outside

Can the buyer please review the site drawings and clearly define where striping and danger sign(s) will be located?

See attached photos

What is the earliest start date we can begin work?

Contract estimated award date is 21 April 2021 – Project start date can begin within 10 days of contract award If occupied, what kind of traffic will be going through the area? Forklifts? Vehicles? Pallet Jacks? Foot traffic only?

There will be all kinds of traffic in and out throughout the doors Can you identify where on the drawing the lines are to be located? Looking at this drawing, the building does not have hangar doors and nothing on the Legend says anything about where the line stripes are to be applied nor where the "danger" signs are to be installed.

Entire west and east end of the building are where the doors are located.

Can you please provide a drawing with dimensions so I can calculate linear feet?

Only one drawing has been provided.

52 feet long. Come out 5 ft (east and west) 52 foot lone length of the door.

Whole area identified as a clear zone. Both inside and out.

Yellow lines are NOT for this project.

The drawing that is on Sam doesn't have measurements. I assume the yellow lines are the safety lines. Please advise.
