About this file

This document is Addendum No. 1 for Request for Qualifications (RFQ) 25-44 issued by the City of Oviedo, Florida for Professional Geotechnical Services. The addendum, dated July 29, 2025, provides clarifications and responses to questions from potential proposers regarding the original RFQ released on July 13, 2025. The city is seeking a geotechnical services consultant who can potentially provide services including building envelope and facilities consulting, with a focus on evaluating existing city building/facility foundations. The addendum specifies that references and successfully completed municipal projects should be from within the past 5 years, and requires proposers to maintain an 8.5" by 11" organizational chart in their submission.

The addendum indicates that the city will follow up with references via phone or email and emphasizes that failure to acknowledge receipt of the addendum on page 32 of the original RFQ packet could result in disqualification. No specific pricing, funding sources, or contract value details are provided in this document. The primary purpose of the addendum is to clarify submission requirements, project scope potential, and reference expectations for interested geotechnical services proposers.

Addendum No. 1

July 29, 2025

To Prospective Proposers and Others Concerned:

This Addendum is in response to questions from interested proposers and forms a part of the RFQ documents dated July 13, 2025, for the above referenced RFQ. Please note, questions are recorded as they are received, including grammar and spelling errors.

Receipt of this addendum must be acknowledged on page 32 of the original RFQ packet. Failure to do so will subject the Proposer to disqualification.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS:

1. Q: How will the city follow up with/reach out to references?

A: The city may contact the references either by phone or email.

2. Q: What portion of this contract does the city anticipate will include building envelope or facilities consulting scopes?

A: These two items are potential scope items. For example, the city could ask the consultant to provide geotechnical services related to evaluation of an existing city building/facility’s foundation.

3. Q: Page 17 (Section 4 Project Approach) requires successfully completed municipal projects to demonstrate a typical project approach/procedures. Does the city prefer a specific project timeframe (e.g., within the last three to five years)?

A: Yes, within the past 5 years.

4. Q: Page 17 (Section 5 References) requires at least three references for whom respondents are performing - or have performed - similar work. For completed projects, does the city prefer a specific timeframe (e.g., within the last three to five years)?

A: Yes, within the past 5 years.

5. Q: Since this is an electronic submission, will the city allow an 11x17 page size for the team organizational chart (in section 3)?

A: No, please keep it to an 8.5” by 11” size.

All other areas of RFQ 25-44 remain unchanged.
