About this file

Addendum 2 for RFB929300-01 is issued by the Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) for the STS School Gym Air Conditioning project. The addendum addresses contractor questions and provides clarifications for the project, including confirmation that the gym will remain partially occupied during construction, with the work area separated by curtains. The contractor is responsible for providing their own lift and equipment, and must protect the gym floor from damage. The construction budget is detailed as Base Bid: $463,371.84, Alternate #1: $260,309.07, and Alternate #2: $68,040.00.

The addendum includes technical modifications to the project drawings, such as adding a water level detection device to the air handling unit, implementing a condensate pan overflow alert in the controls, and revising the maximum pressure drop for the evaporator to 15 feet. Substitution requests are approved for air-cooled chillers (Dunham-Bush) and DX coils (RAE Corporation and Precision Coils). The document also notes a site-specific condition requiring the contractor to account for installing equipment (ACCU-1) on sloped ground. Attachments include a pre-bid meeting sign-in sheet and interior photos of the gym air handler.
