PRE-SOLICITATION - SYNOPSIS
The Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) intends to award a single Indefinite Delivery Indefinite
Quantity (IDIQ) Firm-fixed Price/Labor-Hour/Time and Material contract is to acquire contractor services to provide conference and collaboration room Audio Visual (AV) solutions to comply with the operational capabilities, design, and standards of quality stated herein. This shall include all work related to the design, equipment, installation, labor, operations and maintenance support, cables, connectors, and other needed materials required to provide the specified AV systems, unless otherwise noted herein. Reclamation requires audio visual and related media equipment and services to provide the latest and most robust technology that offers the highest level of collaboration and streaming 4K video conferencing with a low cost impact and simplest support operation. The expectation is a system design that will support Reclamation for at least
10 years with the changing AV industry.
Reclamation is by trade an engineering firm that is a contemporary water management agency with a strategic plan outlining numerous programs, initiatives, and activities that will help the 17
Western States, Native American Tribes and others meet new water needs and balance the multitude of competing uses of water in the West. The organization has an office located on the
Denver Federal Center, Denver, Colorado that serves a diverse set of approximately 1,000 employees. The organization has additional offices and site locations across the western states, a complete listing of our offices may be found at the following web address;
https://www.usbr.gov/main/offices.html.
Reclamation’s building environment at the Denver Office is a multiple story, concrete structure with conference rooms spread across all floors and subnets within our network. Each floor consists of two (2) power and telecommunication closets, one (1) on the north side and one (1) on the south side, each with a different sub-net. The building has single mode fiber pulled to each closet and layer 3 switches already in place (Cisco WS-C3750X-48T with POE and 10 GB uplink capability). The conference rooms are being planned to be part of the inner core of the building with demountable walls, consisting of glass panels along at least one dimension to allow the exterior light from the windows to reach the core of the building and no window treatments or shading is currently planned.
The Denver Office is undergoing a building modernization effort to consolidate office space and is seeking to replace its current audio/visual equipment to improve quality and operability during meetings and collaboration sessions. The building modernization effort has been awarded through a design-build contract and will encompass 9 floors (tentatively planned for the following floors; 3, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14) of the building. AV systems will need to be installed on all 9 floors during construction phase of each floor.
This requirement will be solicited as full and open competition.
