About this file

This document is a Vendor Questions & Answers record and vendor note related to Request for Proposal #27-426DOC-DECAT-R-339992 issued by the State of Illinois Department of Corrections (DOC) for the City of Decatur. The document captures clarifications provided to prospective vendors regarding service delivery requirements and facility-specific compliance obligations.

The contract involves carpet cleaning services to be performed on the main floor of a correctional institution facility. The facility will provide water required for the cleaning operation, and no furniture removal by the vendor is necessary as facility staff will relocate furniture during the cleaning process. A critical requirement is that the facility has no outside access during service delivery, and all vendor personnel must comply with Illinois Department of Corrections regulations, including completion of mandatory background checks prior to entering the premises.
