About this file
This document is a Q&A memo related to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for 2022 - 2027 Tank Pumping Services at the Taconic Developmental Disabilities Services Office (DDSOO) Campus. The previous contract was awarded to Fred A. Cook, Jr., Inc. at $0.19 per gallon for the term of 7/15/2021 - 7/14/2022. The current IFB has minority-owned business enterprises (17%), woman-owned business enterprises (13%), and Service-Disabled Veteran-owned business enterprises (6%) goals, with the awarded vendor required to work with the MWBE Unit to establish contract goals ranging from 0% to 30%. Bidders are required to visit the site to determine the specific requirements, and site visit assistance is available through the Work Control Center.
The pricing structure for this IFB is not specified. The incumbent vendor information and current contract pricing are provided. The IFB also outlines the process for requesting a waiver if the contractor is unable to achieve the MWBE contract goals after making good faith efforts, which OPWDD will evaluate and provide a written decision within 20 business days.
