About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for Solicitation 2025-11, issued by the Interurban Transit Partnership (ITP - The Rapid) in Michigan for a Security Video Monitoring Workstation project. The Q&A document covers 15 detailed questions from potential vendors regarding project specifications, including room dimensions, CPU specifications, workstation design, monitor configurations, and system capabilities. Key details include that ITP will provide a floor diagram in Addendum 1, is not requiring a height-adjustable workstation, and has specific requirements about monitor usage - wall monitors are for video camera and access control monitoring, while remaining desk monitors are for other purposes.
The project involves designing and installing a new security monitoring workstation with specific technical requirements. Audio capabilities will include camera analytics alerts and potential future duress alarms, with some existing site cameras having audio components. The organization is not seeking 24/7 support and plans to use new equipment except for existing computers. Additional potential monitor sources may include access control systems and potentially weather/news channels. The RFP indicates there will be an evaluation and selection process, with vendors potentially being short-listed for recommendation presentations. The project does not currently have an existing maintenance contract, and the full scope includes design, manufacture, delivery, and installation of the workstation at the Rapid Central Station.

Q3 Question: Adjustable Work Station

Answer: ITP is not requiring a height adjustable workstation. The concern is that when the station is raised it will block wall mounted monitors. If a raised desk surface will not block the view of the wall monitors, you may provide a quotation as an option.
