About this file

This document is a detailed project proposal for the Pittsburgh Police & Fire Training Academy's audiovisual (AV) installation at 1395 Washington Blvd, Pittsburgh, PA. The project involves creating a split classroom with separate but interconnected AV systems for Police and Fire departments, enabling them to display the same image across all screens when using the full room. The Fire side will be the primary presentation area, featuring a Rally Kit with two ceiling mic pods, a center-mounted camera, a 55" wall-mounted TV, a confidence monitor, Dell Optiplex Micro computers, and an ActionTech ScreenBeam for screen mirroring. The Police side will have a similar setup with a Rally Kit, single display, two TV carts with 55" TVs, and necessary HDMI connections.

The equipment needs for the project include multiple components such as articulating TV mounts, extension cords, Panduit raceway systems, HDMI cables, distribution amplifiers, Keystone HDMI jacks, faceplates, and single gang boxes. The proposal specifies detailed requirements for cable connections, TV cart construction, and integration of AV equipment to ensure seamless functionality across both sides of the training room. The comprehensive list of equipment and installation specifications suggests a thorough approach to creating a flexible, technology-enhanced training environment for the Police and Fire departments.
