PROJECT DESCRIPTION/SERVICES REQUESTED:

On behalf of the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (MDNR) Parks and Recreation Division (PRD), the Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) is seeking a Professional Services Consultant (PSC) requesting professional engineering services for the assessment of two aged underground fuel tanks that are at the extent of their useful lifespan. Additionally, the fuel lines from the tanks to the docks, spill buckets/sumps, fuel pumps, and cathodic protection shall also be reviewed.

Considering existing configurations and conditions, the PSC shall recommend and design two new fuel tanks and associated fuel delivery equipment.

This request is to provide Phase 100 Study, Phase 300 Design services, and Phase 500 Final Design. For budgeting purposes, an estimate of Phase 600 Construction Administration – Office Services, and Phase 700 Construction Admin/Field services shall be provided.

The existing fuel tanks consist of one underground 10,000-gallon diesel tank, and one underground 15,000-gallon recreational fuel tank. Based on the assessment and recommendation of the PSC, above ground tanks would be considered. The new diesel tank shall be 15,000 gallons, and the recreational fuel tank shall be 10,000 gallons.
