ADDENDUM # 1
• Question #4: An older aerial photograph obtained through Google Earth indicates that the existing overhead electric line is located along the east side of the project. The project staging plans indicate that the overhead electric line is to be temporarily relocated to the west side of the project during construction. Additionally, Utility Plan Sheet 34 indicates that the overhead electric line will be permanently relocated back to the east side of the project. Please confirm the current and proposed final location of the overhead electric line and whether the relocation shown on the contract plans remains consistent with the utility company’s current relocation plan.
Answer #4: The current location of the overhead lines on the westside of South Barry Ave. is where the lines will remain in service for the entire duration of construction. It is the contractor’s responsibility to coordinate with the Utility Companies if any shielding of the lines is needed during any construction activities. After this project is completed, the overhead lines will be moved to the eastside of South Barry Ave. by others. Moving the lines to the eastside is not part of this project.
• Question #5: Is there any place close to the bridge that can be used as a contractor’s yard to store material and equipment for this project?
Answer #5: Contractor may use designated Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club property for staging in connection with the South Barry Avenue Bridge reconstruction project. Prior to use the Contractor shall secure an agreement with the Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club outlining area of use boundaries and restoration measures that may be needed for any damages that may occur to the property
