Currently Rickenabcker ANG buildings utilize Johnson Controls for temperature controls and tie to a JCI Metasys server for monitoring. Current spec calls for Tridium which would allow for 888 to have a temperature controls installation different from other locations in the base complex.
Please confirm Tridium is acceptable?
11-Sep-20 9/11/2020 Yes, Tridium or one of it's licensed vendors is acceptable and required by the Specifications.
028 8-Sep-20 M-001 If acceptable, is a tie in required from the Tridium system at the 888 location to the existing JCI Metasys server? 9/11/2020 9/11/2020
Per drawing M-001 general note 53 the BAS system at Building 888 needs to communicate with the JCI front end.
029 10-Sep-20 M-001
Who is the current EMCS provider and what type of front-end is it? The spec calls for a Niagara system but on Sheet M-001 General Note 53 says we need to integrate to the JCI Front End.
11-Sep-20 9/11/2020 The new BAS system for Buildg 888 needs to tie into the Johnson's Control Metasys front end.
030 10-Sep-20 23 09 00/ 23 09 23.02
How should the system be integrated – do we need to serve the points via BACnet/IP and leave out the graphics or include the graphics, who will bring our controls into the front end? For example (if it is JCI) do we need to hire them to integrate the front end or get a quote for them to do the graphics?
11-Sep-20 9/11/2020
The BAS controls system at Building 888 should be able to act as a stand alone system; graphics will be loaded on the Niagra (Tridium) system. The Controls contractor is responsible for connecting the BAS for Building 888 to the front end.
Refer to the specifications 23 09 00 and 23 09 23.02 on what is required to be seen on the front end. The Government does not have input as to what contractor is hired to do the work.

If commissioning is to be performed, please provide commissioning specifications. 11-Sep-20 9/11/2020 See RFI 006 response
034 11-Sep-20
• Who is the current EMCS (BAS) provider and what type of front-end is it? The spec calls for a Niagara system but Sheet M-001 General Note 53 says we need to integrate to the JCI Front End. If it is a JCI front end is it FX (Niagara) or Metasys? 11-Sep-20 The EMCS is Johnson's Controls Metasys

• How should the system be integrated – do we need to serve the points via BACnet/IP and leave out the graphics? Or do we include the graphics? We have the capability to integrate to an open Niagara Supervisor (Front End) but if it is Metasys then we would need JCI to bring in the controls and most likely do the graphics. 11-Sep-20
The graphics are required on the Niagra system. Refer to the specifications 23 09 00 and 23 09 23.02 on what is required to be seen on the front end.
