Question 1:
If a Bond is required, typically this would be a Construction Project and NOT a Service Contract.
DavisBacon Act WD #CA20240020 attachment. Bonds are based on dollar values Payment and Performance – this most likely will have both due to the dollar value.
The Wage Determination is for service wages. Please advise if this is the correct wage determination. If so, please confirm if a Bond will be required for the Project. The labor wages between a service contract and a construction contract are quite significant. Davis-Bacon Act WD #CA20240020 attachment.
Question 2:
Can you provide specs on the new carpeted soundproof panels? The SOW mentions that they are floor to ceiling. Are these panels? Or is it carpet glued to the walls creating a "soundproof panel"? Please advise.
Feltwork-Acoustic-Wall Panels or equivalent. Color to be selected after award by customer.
Question 3:
Will any attic stock be desired for replacement flooring, ceiling tiles, carpet, lights... If so, how much?
No, we already have attic stock.
NEW QUESTIONS:
1. Are the panels glued or screwed? Panels are screwed to walls. Several panels were removed, and NO GLUE was found.
2. Are the Halon systems tied into the fire alarm system, if so is that a concern for the vendor? Halon system shows to be empty but is ed to the fire alarm system. Neither should not be of any concern unless large amounts of dust or smoke is produced.
3. Furniture to be moved to obtain quote for movers (he can’t get a quote from movers until he has more information) – either a count or pictures or description of the furniture etc. ALL FURNITURE WILL BE MOVED BY THE GOVERNMENT BEFORE WORK BEGINS.
