The purpose of this amendment is to answer questions submitted. See attached summary of changes. There are no other changes to the solicitation

Summary of Changes

Question 1. Are the plans that are attached from USA shade proprietary and being used according to plans and specs without any material changes at this time?

Answer: No. Contractor shall install a PVC material that is durable, resistant to water, mold and UV rays.

The material must contain a 40 mil thickness, 14X18 scrim, and tan in color. Warranty of materials shall be at least 15 years or more. The material must be supported from north to south with a shielded cable which in turn shall be supported east to west with cable. All points where the material is supported must be supported with PEX (Cross‐linked polyethylene) shielded cable. The east and west portions of the shade material shall be supported from north to south at the existing mid truss support tie‐ins. The east and west material tie‐ins of the shade shall be relocated to a lower point on the east/west structural poles and identified in the engineered drawings. The material must be designed to be fully supported by wire rope cable assemblies so the fabric material never touches the existing structure, only the wire rope cable assemblies may touch the structure. Contractor shall provide stamped PE certified engineered drawings and specifications for 100 mph ratings on the material and structure.

Question 2. The date on the plans are from 2010, have they already installed a shade structure that functioned properly or is it failing?

Answer: The original material tore and the present material failed as it is a completely different material.

Question 3. Is the fabric used on the plans and specification material list to be installed?

Answer: No. Contractor shall install a PVC material that is durable, resistant towater, mold and UV rays.

The material must contain a 40 mil thickness, 14X18 scrim, and tan in color. Warranty of materials shall be at least 15 years or more. The material must be designed to be fully supported by wire rope cable assemblies so the fabric material never touches the existing structure, only the wire rope cable assemblies may touch the structure.

Question 4. Are the plans attached ones that you would like us to replicate or would they consider a different roof top for shade such as solar, solid roof etc.

Answer: Contractor shall provide stamped PE certified engineered drawings and specifications for 100 mph ratings on the material and structure per statement of work.
