C-20A/D CONFIGURATION

ACADEMIC & SIMULATOR TRAINING FOR C-20A/D AIRCRAFT

RFP N61339-10-R-0035

Attachment (1) General Description: The C-20A/D is a military version of the Gulfstream 3 (G-1159). It is a two engine, swept wing, long range, high altitude, high speed aircraft used as a special mission aircraft. The normal crew is two pilots, crew chief, flight attendant and can carry up to 13 passengers.

Max Ramp Weight – 70,200 LBS

Max Zero Fuel Weight – 44,000 LBS

Max Takeoff Weight – 69,700 LBS

Max Landing Weight – 58,500 LBS

Engines: The aircraft is powered by two turbofan Spey Mark 511-8 Rolls Royce engines, each equipped with thrust reversers. Engine instrumentation includes EPR, TGT, HP, LP, FF, Oil pressure and temperature indicators, fuel tank and fuel temperature indicators.

Electrical: Two engine driven brushless AC alternators that provide power to its associated converters. Each converter provides 23 KVA three phase power at 115/200 volts, 400 HZ. The system is controlled by the EPMP.

The DC power supplemented by two 24 VDC, 36 amp hour 20 cell NICAD batteries. The APU is equipped with an alternator which provides 115 VAC, 400+/-20 HZ. The C-20A is a DC G3 with two 28.5 volt, 300 ampere parallel DC generators and three AC alternators (including the one on the APU) providing 115 volt, 3 phase, variable frequency power. Each alternator is rated at 20 KVA. The system is controlled by switches on the overhead control panel.
