1.0 Background
Government requires contaminated oil to be processed through a portable system to remove water and particulate contaminant. Current condition existing of MIL-PRF-17331 oil (approximately 3,000 gallons) has 20,000 PPM water contamination. Due to ship’s configuration, oil will be moved to storage container, filtration system will remove oil from initial storage tank to clean deposit clean oil into a clean container, where it will stay until ready to be pumped back onboard the ship.
2.0 General Requirements
Provide equipment, material, labor and services to remove water and particulate contamination from hydraulic fluid to the acceptance criteria listed in paragraph 3.1.1 and 3.1.2.
2.1 Location and Hours of Work are as follows:
Location of Work: Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, Bremerton WA
Hours of Work: 12 hours a day / 6 days a week for 90 days; excluding holidays.
Expect workload to fluctuate as system zones are completed and shift to next zone occurs.
Expect to break down and re-set equipment prior to and after ship’s movement to a new location within the shipyard.
