Question Questions Response

What is the desired function of the described sound masking system? What areas is it supposed to influence? Please be specific and indicate on the diagram where the impact is desired. Does the gov desire additional ambient noise (sound masking) in these areas, or less noise (sound-proofing or sound-absorption)?

The sound masking will need to cover the entrance doors. This will eliminate the ability for outside personnel from hearing discussions, whether classified or unclassified (protected), that are discussed in confidant of the presenter. The sound masking will need to be controlled from the inside of the CBR and can be secured from alteration and damage.

What commercial product served as your market research for the following equipment item? What is the exact make and model of a sound masking system that meets the government requirement?

No brand, make or model has been identified by the government. The requirement is to ensure people standing outside the Command Briefing Room does not hear what is being said inside. The sound masking system should cover up to 3,600 square feet and white in color.

SOW state contractor will remove and dispose of the projector screen. What about the soffit that contains the screen? Should the soffit be removed to allow for a straight curtain track? Is the vendor supposed to make facility modifications to restore the ceiling?

When government modifies the wall for the video wall, the screen housing will be removed also. Therefore the cutrain track will run straight across the top.

What is meant by laser tracking? What is a commercial product that has this desired functionality?

Laser tracking camera as in a camera that has autotracking and follows the presenter as he moves across the stage. Aver, Lummens, PTZ Optics, Obsbot, and Sony are some of the companies that makes these types of cameras.

Is the vendor expected to install 8 speakers, or propose a different number if required?

The vendor is expected to install eight (8) speakers.
