M67854-16-R-1103 Amendment 0003 Responses to Industry Questions
Q1. Please confirm if the Government requires a Box-X Stitch for the 7 1/2" x 1" Sleeve Loop and the 3" x 1" Tab Hook as noted in Table VII of the PD. Please note that the Govt-furnished patterns ONLY indicate a Box-X stitch for the 2" x 2" loop fastener tape.
A1. Box-x stitch is not required for the sleeve loop and tab hook. The Purchase Description has been updated accordingly.
Q2. Please confirm that the Govt furnished patterns for the sleeve tab orientation is correct.
Upon making initial samples, we noticed that it would enhance the functionality if the pattern sleeve tabs were reversed. In other words, the manner in which the right sleeve tab and loop pieces are positioned should ideally go onto the left sleeve; and vice versa. Please refer to Figure 1 and 2 (Shirt Front and Back view) for an illustration of what our question is. We feel that the Figures are correctly depicted and contradict the patterns.
A2. The Figures are correctly depicted. The patterns will be corrected accordingly. Please follow the Figures for correct positioning.
Q3. Please confirm that the combination label is in fact intended to be sewn onto the inside of the front right of the shirt (as worn), and not outward facing. Similarly, please confirm that the Government intends to have the FROG label sewn onto front right (as worn) on the outward facing side of the shirt.
A3. The FROG label shall be attached (finish) on the left front side of the blouse apx. 1-1/2" above hem (as worn). Combination label shall finish of the right inside of the blouse apx. 1-1/2" above hem (as worn). The Purchase Description has been updated accordingly.
