PBX Maintenance 4-Month Continuity - Request for Proposal

This is a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by the State of Maryland for PBX (Private Branch Exchange) maintenance services on a four-month continuity basis. The procurement seeks vendors to provide ongoing maintenance and support for the state's existing PBX telephone systems to ensure business continuity during a transition period. The scope of work encompasses routine maintenance, emergency repairs, system monitoring, and technical support for PBX equipment currently in operation across state facilities. The contract is designed as a short-term continuation of existing services while the state evaluates longer-term telecommunications infrastructure solutions. The four-month term reflects an interim period, with specific performance requirements and service level agreements outlined in the detailed scope of work documentation.

The RFP establishes pricing terms based on a cost-plus or fixed-fee structure for maintenance services, with detailed billing schedules and rate cards to be submitted by prospective vendors. The procurement likely includes an incumbent contractor preference or continuity consideration, given the nature of the four-month continuation period. Funding for this contract is provided through the state's operational budget allocated to telecommunications infrastructure and support services. Vendors must demonstrate technical capability, relevant experience with PBX systems, availability of qualified personnel for emergency response, and financial stability to sustain operations throughout the contract term. The procurement process includes submission requirements, evaluation criteria focused on technical competence and pricing, and a defined timeline for vendor selection and contract award to ensure minimal disruption to state telecommunications services.
