STATEMENT OF WORK
FR 76 CRANBERRY RIVER- NORTH FORK BRIDGE REPLACEMENT
1. This solicitation is to provide construction services for furnishing and installing a replacement bridge for FR 76 Cranberry River- North Fork Bridge crossing. The work shall include, but not be limited to, construction survey and staking, clearing and grubbing, excavation, removal of existing structures, installation of replacement bridge on the existing abutment, and aggregate.
2. The contractor shall furnish the necessary personnel, material, equipment, services, and facilities (except as otherwise specified), to perform the Statement of Work/Specifications. See contract drawings for general layout and details for each culvert replacement.
3. Prior to beginning construction, the Contractor is responsible for identifying appropriate commercial sources of material except where a specific source for a particular material is identified in the Contract, Contract Plans, or by the CO.
4. During the construction, the Contractor shall preserve and protect all vegetation (such as trees, shrubs, and grass) on or adjacent to the work site not found within the clearing limits, which are not to be removed and which do not unreasonably interfere with the work required under this contract. Operations shall be scheduled and conducted to minimize erosion of soils and to prevent silting and muddying of streams, rivers, irrigation systems, and impoundments (lakes, reservoirs, etc.)
5. Contractor shall remove temporary bypass upon CO approval of all safety features included in the culvert replacement. Contractor shall also remove all sediment and erosion control features upon approval of permanent turf establishment.
